Digital skills resource

Alongside training and career guidance activities, the ‘Women4IT’ project has developed a repository of open educational resources where any interested party can find free-access learning materials for individual learning in different fields. Learning materials can be searched according to different criteria: language, job profiles, type of material and areas of competence of the DigComp framework. More information on learning resources can be found here.

The ‘Women4IT’ project aims to enable young women across Europe to start their careers in digital jobs. The project has developed various tools to promote women’s involvement in the IT sector and digital works. The main objective of the project is to develop digital skills for young women at risk of exclusion from the labour market, thereby improving their employability. The project was piloted in seven European countries and open educational resources are also available in English, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Spanish and Greek.

At present, more than 300 resources are available in the Open Education Resource Database and are regularly updated. The database allows you to find:

  • 89 resources in English
  • 40 resources in Romanian:
  • 45 resources in Latvian:
  • 44 resources in Lithuanian:
  • 40 resources in Greek:
  • 49 resources in Spanish:

All the materials and tests developed are available on the Women4IT project website.

The Women4IT project has been implemented in nine European countries since 2019, with six areas of digital profiles being trained as part of the project:

More than 900 young women have already graduated from training programmes in partner countries. Training and guidance activities are organised in the framework of the International Partnership Project “Women4IT” (No 2017-1-094), funded under the Youth Employment Programme of the Norwegian, Icelandic and Liechtenstein Foundation, which aims to promote the participation of young women in ICT professions and digital works.
