Funding

A new call for projects for Innowwide funding programme is open. Innowwide is funded by the European Union as part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs.

Innovative SMEs can apply to Innowwide for a grant of 60,000 euro to assess the viability of their research or commercial ambitions in international markets. Only SMEs in European Union Member States or Iceland, Israel, Norway or Türkiye can benefit from funding. However, they are allowed to subcontract to their partner in the selected target country in Africa, the Americas, Asia or Oceania. Subcontracted partners sign a commitment before submitting the project application.

Innowwide is encouraging SMEs to take their R&D to markets all over the world, by choosing a target region and country and finding a local counterpart. Over a six-month period, they can:

  • conduct market feasibility studies for innovative projects or solutions and
  • work with local experts in the selected target country

Innowwide can be a useful tool for SME’s R&D journey:

  • As they develop a project idea, to assess whether their local partner (or subcontracted organisation) can cooperate with them in a future international R&D project
  • After successfully finishing their R&D project, to understand whether their product-, process- or service-market combination could be commercialised in their selected target market

The application deadline is on 17 October 2023, 14:00 CEST.
