NGI Sargasso, funded by the European Commission, focuses on catalysing European collaboration with the US and Canada on topics such as trust and data sovereignty, digital identity, internet architecture renovation, decentralised technologies, and standards, which are of utmost importance to shape the future Internet. NGI Sargasso will run five Open Calls for joint proposals for transatlantic teams working on the mentioned emerging topics.
The project will work in close cooperation with the US and Canada on the development and experimentation of new ideas, implementation of prototypes, and contribution to standards and open-source communities on technology trends with the potential to reshape tomorrow’s NGI technologies and services.
