Within the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, this initiative aims to link local digital and deep tech start-up ecosystems, while also supporting international expansion activities for new companies that have already gained market traction or secured seed funding. Priority will be given to the inclusion of start-up ecosystems in countries and regions considered “moderate” or “emerging” in terms of innovation.
Eligibility criteria
- Legal entities that comply with Horizon Europe’s general conditions.
- At least 50% of the beneficiaries in a consortium must be established in ‘moderate’ or ‘emerging’ innovator countries or regions according to the Regional Innovation Board.
Expected Outcomes
- Increasing the market footprint of European start-ups in strategic digital technologies and deep tech innovation
- Better connection of start-ups
- A scaling up of capabilities in matching technology solutions developed by highly innovative European Union (EU)-funded digital and deep tech start-ups with investment and growth opportunities in collaboration with other initiatives
Budget
- The total indicative budget for the topic is EUR 12 million.
- Beneficiaries may provide financial assistance to third parties, which must exclusively take the form of grants, with a maximum limit of EUR 60.000 per third party.
- Applicants opting for this non-compulsory financial support scheme must allocate at least 60% of the total proposed budget to financial support to third parties.
