Under the “AI Competence for Sweden” initiative, ten Swedish universities are collaborating to create a knowledge platform and offer continuing education courses in AI for professionals. The involved universities are Chalmers University of Technology, University of Gothenburg, Halmstad University, Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, Luleå University of Technology, Lund University, Mälardalen University, Umeå University, and Örebro University.
The initiative is flexibly designed to allow more universities to join over time. Even now, several other institutions are offering their own AI-related courses through the platform.
The knowledge platform builds on and complements ongoing AI-related efforts at the participating universities. The practical work of developing the platform is carried out with two main focus areas:
1. A consolidated website showcases the participating universities’ educational opportunities targeted at the business and public sectors. This site, coordinated by Örebro University, highlights education initiatives within AI Competence for Sweden and is continuously updated with available courses.
2. Regular meetings are held between key individuals from the ten participating universities to effectively plan, lead, and coordinate the AI Competence for Sweden initiative.
