The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) is the central administrative office responsible for research and development in the Czech Republic. In this sphere, it focuses above all on policymaking, international cooperation and implementation of research priorities in certain areas. In this sense, it administers certain RDI funds, including institutional funding and RDI-related programmes, such as Inter-excellence and the Operational Programme Research, Development and Innovations.
