Slovakia – Digital Transformation Strategy for 2030

Slovakia’s 2030 Digital Transition Strategy is a cross-cutting public administration strategy – a framework that defines Slovakia’s policy priorities in the context of the ongoing digital transformation of the economy and society under the influence of innovative technologies and global megatrends of the digital age.

• Introducing a more flexible innovation system of study programmes to increase the efficiency of higher education, while promoting cross-cutting and cross-sectoral programmes, thus increasing the flexibility of graduates on the labour market.

Digital skills in education:

• Supporting the digital transformation of schools and education institutions and training providers to improve overall quality and employment pre-conditions to support the acquisition of 21st century skills. 
• Promoting the use of digital technologies (learning platforms) and digital learning content for more innovative and motivating teaching methods.
• Strengthening the digital competences of pupils, students and participants through courses dedicated to the digital economy and enhancing digital inclusion and ensuring equal access to digital education for all. 
• Creating better conditions for motivation, education and training for teachers in high demand fields such as STEM. 
• Improving cooperation between teachers, entrepreneurs and legislators to advance education and training in digital skills.
• Develop, in cooperation with the State Education Institute, normative rules for informatics teaching and information education at all levels of the education system.
