Malta Digital Skills and Jobs Platform (LISP)
The Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) and Malta Enterprise are offering support for 20 Malta-based professionals from small and medium-sized enterprises, independent developers, and students to attend the event.

Selected applicants will have their registration fee waived.
The event will be held at the Valletta Campus of the University of Malta between 17-21 June 2024. Organised by modl.ai and Keywords Studios and sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the Summer School combines lectures on state-of-the-art AI techniques and a game industry summit. We are bringing talks and workshops from Keywords Studios, Ubisoft, Massive Entertainment, Riot Games, Microsoft, Arm, AI and Games, modl.ai, and several renowned independent game AI developers from around the world. The MDIA is tasked with advancing Malta’s innovative technology sector by fostering development, recognising and regulating new technologies, and promoting sector-specific initiatives and incentives. The MDIA’s approach balances the need for innovation with the protection of users and market integrity, ensuring compliance with European and international laws. MDIA is also an enabler of digital innovative technology in Malta by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and startups.
Malta Enterprise is the country’s economic development agency, tasked with attracting new foreign direct investment as well as facilitating the growth of existing operations. ME has been focusing on various emerging niche areas including digital games development, mixed reality and AI. In recent years it has also developed the dedicated StartinMalta brand which is acting as the main touchpoint for start-up support.
Past editions of the Summer School have been hosted all around the world from Crete to New York! Last year, Microsoft Research in Cambridge hosted this summer school, and this year, we are excited to bring the event to Malta!
