DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE
Number of weekly modules: 10 modules.
Number of working hours of the student throughout the course: 40 hours
Number of working hours of the student per week: approximately 4 hours per week
Pre-requisites for knowledge required: No pre-requirements.
Level of difficulty: basic.
Course execution format: at its own pace.

The course provides many practical tips on how to use a computer to optimise your work. We live in an era of the internet and fast-growing technologies, we have high computing power phones and even more powerful desktops, laptops – unfortunately they are often used as ‘writing machines’.
Audience: the course is mainly aimed at secondary school students and at students of the first and second years. However, it can ultimately be used by any audience as part of the introduction to the design and workshop work. A well-informed search for information and the use of technology to solve problems, optimisation of action is becoming an integral part of the development of every human being, literally everybody.
PRE-REQUIREMENTS
To proceed with the course, you must have:
- basic computer and peripheral skills,
- basic ability to move in application programmes,
- basic news on how to use a web browser,
- basic ability to work with information from traditional and online sources,
- basic skills to work with the learning platform Navoica.
OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
- You will be informed about problem solving using TI, ICT.
- You will learn about many programmes and applications that facilitate the automation of activities.
- Find out about additional commands for Google to make it easier to search for information.
- You can see how easy it is for your Gmail to be arranged.
- Learn to intercept your dashboard remotely on another computer.
ISSUES RAISED
MODULE 1
The first module presents organisational aspects: welcome participants, presentation of the objectives, ideas and modules of the course. The module also presents key concepts related to the core theme of the course in practical terms.
MODULE 2
The second module presents the general idea of computational thinking in his book “The Children’s Machine: Rethinking School in the Age of the Computer’, Seymour Papert.
PART 3
This module provides a practical insight into the problem of content searching more precisely and efficiently.
PART 4
This module concerns the improvement of the most universal Gmail. There are many useful commands of which the normal user does not know and which will allow him to make better use of the potential of this mail.
PART 5
This module will showcase the most useful programmes and applications to help us optimise the resolution of simple problems and user work.
MODULE 6
This module will look at keyboard abbreviations that will allow us to move faster and thus save time in operations.
MODULE 7
The idea of the information society is not only to share knowledge in a textual or multimedia way, but also to create elements of support for functional literacy in an ageing society. The programmes that we will learn in this lesson give us the possibility of remote help for those who are technologically excluded.
MODULE 8
Throughout the course, we are more touching on areas related to technologies in the broad sense, but finally we will try to solve the problems of a “day-to-day” when something goes wrong, or will we break any part of plastic that is then? How can TI help us? No 3D printer.
MODULE 9
The module contains a final test and simple course tasks to help the course developer to improve the course and to add substantive value to other students in the form of proposed interesting websites on the Internet.
MODULE 10
The module consists of a collection of articles and works compacted with netographic links presenting valuable visiting sites on the internet.
CREDIT CONDITIONS
The course ends with a final test of 75 %. The tests in the modules have a weighting of 25 % in the final assessment and are motivated. In order to obtain a certificate, the pre-financing threshold of 60 % must be reached. Activity in alert fora and tasks is welcome.
CONDITIONS FOR RECEIPT OF THE CERTIFICATE
In order to obtain a certificate of completion, all the conditions for passing 75 % of all tasks must be met.
