Main content of the training:
This one-year programme at the University of West focuses on the development of smart factories, including automation, industrial robots and simulation technologies. The programme is taught in virtual environments (distance learning) and is closely linked to industry. It gives you in-depth knowledge of smart factories and prepares you to contribute to their development. You learn the design and programming of robots and automation systems in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).

Qualifications:
The programme is offered as two different qualifications and two different teaching models:

  • 60 HP Magister in robotics and Automation (1 years) with a focus on automation, robotics, digitalisation and virtual environments.
  • 120 HP Master in robotics and Automation (2 years) with additional focus on research and development.

Career prospects:
After completing your education, you will be sought on the labour market. You can be involved in programming, simulation and implementation of industrial robot and automation systems or as project managers for the design and development of new automation solutions.

Diploma:
Philosophy Magister degree in robotics and automation.

Qualification requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in one of the main fields of computing, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial economics or equivalent. A minimum of 5 hp programming and 15 hp mathematics shall be included in the initial training. English 6 or equivalent.

Additional information:
The programme offers opportunities to study remotely with flexibility and freedom to decide when and where to study. Much of the studies are conducted digitally, with communication via a learning platform.
