MDN Web Docs, formerly known as Mozilla Developer Network and Mozilla Developer Center, is a live documentation repository and training platform for web developers. This network, set up by Mozilla in 2005, serves as a single hub for comprehensive documentation on open internet standards, Mozilly projects and guides for developers.
Over time, MDN Web Docs developed through contributions from Mozilla, Google staff, volunteers and content migration from DevEdge and mozilla.org, offering up-to-date materials on HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Web API, Django, Node.js, WebExtensions, MathML and others.
In particular, major technology companies such as Microsoft, Google and Samsung joined forces with MDN Web Docs and redirected their own documentation projects to the platform in 2017.
