eSkills Malta Foundation will be engaging Coding Tutors for the upcoming EU CodeWeek, which takes place from October 14th to the 27th 2024, to provide workshops on topics including robotics, coding, and more.
We are interested in hearing from you if you have a desire to inspire the next generation of students and citizens through programming and robotics. The instructional sections can be followed without any prior knowledge of computer programming, but your enthusiasm and commitment to the field of education are crucial.

Section B:
General Information
1. EU CodeWeek
The EU CodeWeek is a grassroots initiative that recognises the value of coding as a medium for fostering innovation, problem-solving, and teamwork. The goal is to demystify programming and bring together passionate people to study it by making it more accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.The EU CodeWeek was initiated in 2013 by the European Union’s Young Advisors for the Digital Agenda.
The European Commission supports EU Code Week as part of its strategy for a Digital Single Market. In the Digital Education Action Plan, the Commission especially encourages schools to join the initiative.The goal is to help more young people to master the basics of coding and computational thinking.
The eSkills Malta Foundation is the official National EU CodeWeek Ambassador for Malta and is in charge of promoting EU CodeWeek across Malta.
2. Beneficiary
eSkills Malta Foundation is the point of contact for this call.
3. Scope and Terms & Conditions
In line with the digital skills skilling, upskilling and reskilling mandates, the Foundation would like to receive quotations from tutors to deliver robotics / coding sessions, during the following EU CodeWeek dates : 14th to 27th October 2024.
All the sessions will form part of the Foundation’s EU CodeWeek Initiatives and can target:
Children, Youths, Adults 18 and over.
Section C
The Training Providers shall be responsible for advertising and promoting sessions scheduled during EU Code Week OR ANY OTHER DATES AGREED WITH THE FOUNDATION. The eSkills Malta Foundation will register potential candidates and publicise the selected sessions on social media and through its network.
The sessions should take place during EU Code Week between the 14th and 27th of October 2024. The Training Provider chooses the days and times of the sessions, which can be held in person or online, and with their own equipment and venue.
The Foundation has the right to accept, limit or refuse any session proposal submitted. In particular, the Foundation has allocated a specific budget for the project. Due to this, the Foundation will choose the most advantageous sessions and address the established criteria.
Tutors will be paid at the rate of 20 euros per hour.
Quotations can be sent with the following information using the attached template marked.
Annex A
• Target Group of the Sessions
• Number of sessions (if applicable)
• Maximum number of attendants per session
• Main contents of the session
• Prerequisites (if applicable)
• Suggested ages and/or sectors
• Duration and frequency of sessions
• The platform used must show and record all the attendees during a live session.
• No lengthy videos should replace interaction with students during sessions. Videos and other props may be used in moderation but not replace interaction.
• Advertising should be carried out by the Training Provider at no extra cost beyond the original quoted cost.

Section D
Response Format
Responses are to be straightforward, clear, concise and specific to the information requested. For submissions to be considered complete, Training Providers must provide all the requested information mentioned in this document as well as any other comments, observations or suggestions which may assist the Foundation in the Call for Quotations. The attached template is to be duly used and filled out for the response.
