Ireland’s Cyber Security Academy Recruiting the next generation to Fight Cyber Crime

The Cyber Security Academy, Ireland’s pioneering national cyber security training program want to bring cybersecurity closer to young people (11-18-year-olds). Funded by the Science Foundation Ireland Discover Programme, the initiative aims to equip young individuals with essential digital skills to identify, prevent, and predict cyber-attacks. Launched by the Irish Government, the program addresses the growing dependence on smartphones and the internet exacerbated by COVID-19. Recognizing a societal lack of awareness and skills in cybersecurity, especially among youth, the initiative seeks to address Ireland’s shortage of cybersecurity professionals, safeguarding the digital economy. Online Cyber Camp

Career Talks

Distinguished professionals from diverse backgrounds share their insights, aiming to reshape perceptions of cyber security as an aspirational and mainstream career option. The goal is to make this field accessible and appealing to young people from all walks of life.

National Cyber Schools Challenge (NCSC)

As a fun and inclusive national competition, NCSC provides students aged 11-18 with an opportunity to test their hacking skills. Importantly, no prior IT background is required, making it accessible to a broad range of participants.
